Sunny skies and the word that 113 had 7022 and CMQ 1002 on the head end made for a quick and easy decision to go trackside. A very low afternoon sun soon eliminated two favourite spots, but " the pond" looked hopeful. Luckily the Mile Sign call from 113 came soon enough to assure sun, and soon afterward she made a wonderful sight skirting " the pond". This image i8s dedicated to James A Brown, great friend, railfan and familiar trackside companion to many around Palgrave and Spence. Jim was an exceptional and much published photographer, who just two months earlier would have been there for 113's passage. The other day he was surely there in spirit. Jim, this one's for you !!
