Caption: In response to Aidan Szabo's recent posting looking North from Nashville Road at Kleinburg, I thought I'd submit the view looking South from there almost 47 years ago. The CPR Kleinburg station, built circa 1908, and much closer to Nashville than Kleinburg, served as a station until 1964-65 when it was retired. At that time it became a private residence until the CP wanted it removed from the property sometime in 1976. As noted in Alan Pittman's post, the station was relocated to a spot on Islington Avenue near Kleinburg Public School where it remains today beautifully restored.

excellent! Feels rather odd knowing a station once stood there, I assume the switchstand is for the lead to the now derelict elevator north of Nashville? any idea what the elevator was used for and when it ceased to receive rail service?
