CP 7047 heads west at a comfortable 25mph with CP SD40-2 6017 and CMQ SD40-2F 9011 trailing. It was really nice to see the old vs new EMD consist, with the recent rebuilds versus the 40 year old veterans. The ID of this train is still debated as the SD40s brought a Herzog ballast train into Toronto yard earlier in the day. They added 7047 and about 75 cars of manifest up front and continued west. RTC called out 7047W as 421, though. Once the train hit Sudbury, it dropped the manifest still on the train and continued north as 3GPS-16. What a perfect way to end a summer, that has been full of amazing CP consists.
