Cardinal’s Ingredion switcher, with FURX 1552 comes through the town of Cardinal back towards the Ingredion plant light engine. The spur that they run on is a 1.5 mile spur connecting from the Ingredion plant, to the interchange on CN’s Kingston Sub at Mile 104.8. The crew makes daily runs, bringing tanks from the interchange to the plant and back, with corn starch ingredients.

    Jake, very nice with the church in the background. Very much like the “rural” street running and the engine crew member “walking” the 1552 through the extended level crossing. Is this operation still running today ? Many thanks for sharing. John

    Thanks for the comment John! It is still in operation today. But the times to see them switching are very different everyday.
