Canadian Pacific officially announced yesterday, September 24 (that's exactly three months before Christmas for those keeping score at home) that its Holiday Train would not run this year, opting instead for virtual concerts and food bank donations. Many contributors to this site, myself included, have made a cherished annual tradition out of photographing it, often in the company of close friends. It's yet another way the world is changing as it deals with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Of interesting note is that the Holiday Train's Twitter account has gone offline, though its press release promises a planned return for 2021.
