Caption: Nearing the end of its transcontinental journey, the train No. 12 The Canadian passes the north switch at the now removed Beeton siding. No. 12, scheduled for a 5:10 PM arrival in Toronto, was one of two daily passenger trains in each direction shown in the summer 1962 time table, the others being The Dominion (train numbers 3 and 4). The westward Canadian, No. 11, was scheduled to depart Toronto at 5:10 PM. During the summer on Fridays, it was followed 10 minutes later by train No. 317 to MacTier (which returned on Sundays or holiday Mondays as No. 318).
