Great photo. Those SD70/75′s are still the best units on CN in my humble opinion.
The pre built switch is not meant for the derailment site. Switches are complicated to build and all ones like this take awhile to construct. If derailments happen at a switch they are normally repaired on the spot or the track straight railed until a replacement is constructed.
ngineered4u, thanks for the info! I was curious how they would have done that in such a short period of time ( less than a day ). I guess it was just a coincidence that a switch was going that way a day after it had happened.
