Due to an ongoing strike in the Port of Montreal, CP has been moving intermodal traffic to and from the port of Saint John, New Brunswick using its recently purchased CMQ line and the NBSR. Here CP F95 has a trio of GE's leading a 100% intermodal train into Montreal. This bridge normally sees no intermodal trains.

  1. Oh Michael, you have done it again ! “Water, water everywhere, and nary a drop to drink“ plus an intermodal train on CP’s St Lawrence River bridge !! What ? Solid container trains on this bridge ? WOW !! Thanks for the explanation. Great picture, and now that CP has finally corrected its huge error in previously divesting its line through northern Maine and can once again operate trains through to the deep-water harbour at Saint John, this hopefully will become a very regular item. Looks to me like “Michael rowed the boat ashore, Hallelujah . .. “.
    Many thanks.

  2. Thanks.
