I did this angle once before with three ECOs, so figured it was worth repeating with three GP38s. The clouds nearly won out on this one: the train was approaching completely covered in shadow, and you can see the water in the foreground has lost its sun too, but luckily the bridge stayed in full sun for the shot. The power today was 3130-3023-3053. Today was 3130's first day on this set, having just replaced 3055. CP's assignments in Hamilton changed at the beginning of the month, and are now as follows: TH11 is Sun-Thurs at 0700, TH21 is Tues-Sat at 1800, and TE11 (Welland crew) does their Saturdays in Kinnear at 0700.

  1. And now two weeks later you do another very nice train over still waters picture ! Great looking CP trio , nice to see all of them in one frame- very nice composition. Now if only some would clean out the “flotsam “ by the bridge. Very enjoyable picture and commentary.
