Well, tonight was a wild one. I was out on my bike once again after work and originally set out to shoot GO 558 coming in from Niagara Falls. However, I messed up that shot and was pretty discouraged to do any more railfanning for the rest of the day. For whatever reason, that mindset changed and I decided to head over to West Toronto and check out what was going on there. I noticed the signals lined up for a power wye to occur. Usually this happens with train T49, when there are autoracks to be lifted at Lambton destined for Spence. It's easier to wye the power vs setting up your second unit in lead. 
Today. my head almost fell off when I heard "CP 6018 West, clear signal Bartlett, north track". Sure enough, around the bend comes SD40-2 6018 along with GP38AC 3004 for the ride. In this photo they are seen reversing through a classic pair of searchlights as they head toward the east Lambton Yard ladder to lift some cars. As this is not common power whatsoever for a T49, I spent the next 30 minutes in a mad scramble to try to figure out what train this was, until finally they called into RTC as T49. After dark they proceeded north to Spence with 5,000+ feet of empty autoracks.
