Caption: This is honestly a spot I often overlook, especially at this time of year. Usually I figure it is too hot for the brief hike in and it is often very overgrown and bug infested here in the summer, but my boys have been bothering me a lot lately to try this shot and today seeing that T14 was ready to depart the yard and had nothing special for power made the decision easy to go for scenery rather then just the train. While it was not too overgrown getting in, the countless ant bites almost made us run back to the car. Luckily the 15 minute wait proved worth it as T14 soared above with 3 cars off the branch destined for Toronto. It almost appears like the seagull hiding behind the rock was enjoying to he show of us constantly flicking ants into the air, LOL. There is a lot of history in the Credit River Valley here in Streetsville, and a dam once blocked the river behind me flooding where I am standing. The purpose was for the dam to power the ADM mill also located behind me. Of course years ago the mill switch from water power to electricity making the dam unnecessary. It was then demolished, although some ruins remain.
