Caption: On Thursday, October 13, 1994, I began a drive from Halifax to Ottawa. I chased VIA's ATLANTIC as far as Moncton, New Brunswick. This image shows it nearing Fort Lawrence, less than a mile from the New Brunswick border. The town of Amherst, Nova Scotia is in the background of this view near Mileage 79.5 of CN's Springhill Subdivision.
The tri-weekly ATLANTIC would only travel via Saint John, N.B. on its way to Montreal for just over two more months. It would then be replaced by three additional round trips of the OCEAN via Campbellton.
