Caption: Sometimes it just all seems to come together. June 17 was one of those days. A tip that VIA was running an equipment extra west with 5 units and 25 cars was enough to get the adrenaline going and its timing made the Parry Sound bridge a good prospect. After spending an hour seeking the perfect spot, I gained permission to be on a dock which was actually closed to the public due to Covid 19. A couple of "heads up" contacts advised 011 had been stabbed for 55 minutes getting out of Toronto. That was actually beneficial as it gave the sun more time to be in the perfect position. Indeed, when 011 showed up, there was perfect light, a gorgeous sky lacking contrails or cloud and no seadoos churning the water. The 5 units running elephant style with none of them "wrapped", could not have been better. Yup, sometimes it does come together.

Wow! The locomotives centered on the bridge also gives the photo a unique balance. Nice shot!
Outstanding. What makes it is the dock – it leads the eyes to the perfectly aligned locomotives. And the lighthouse helps too. Just a perfect composition.
Wonderful picture Steve, and talk about symmetry, the middle concrete pier of the three is right under the middle of the middle (3rd) F40. What’s more, of the 14 vertical steel beams supporting he rail decay, the 5 F40’s fit nicely between the 2nd and 14th vertical support beams ! But you knew that when you took this amazing picture – right ? Have never seen 5 VIA F40’s In a row, let alone elephant style ! Great location ! John
