For reasons I can only speculate; I am up on the ridge at the Royal Botanical Gardens parking lot rather than down in the Jct lot below. Maybe it was damp, cold, and windy. Sure looks like a typical February afternoon.
Anyway, nice to catch an all TH&B Starlite rolling thru from Toronto on its way into Hamilton. The power is TH&B 77, 76 and 73. Sure miss this road. Little did I know it had less than 10 years left.

  1. Very nice Mr Mooney! Why did they fly extra flags on the Starlight?

  2. For some reason unknown to me, it was never actually a scheduled train, hence the flags.
Someone out there might be able to explain this, as it kept schedule better than many of the “scheduled” trains.

  3. Yes I always caught it at Clarkson with CP locomotives in the 80′s. It always seemed to be on time.
