I’d say this was a worthy candidate for your first image on here in a while!! Was the camera dusty??
Thanks, Jazzy. I introduced myself to the camera, but it didn’t seem to know me.
Too funny, everytime I see this train it sucks. Go figure this is what they send when I can’t get out ????
Great image!
Well done Mr. Mooney, the master has not lost his touch ! Very nice indeed , CP heritage + BNSF “pumpkin” to boot, and nice angle. Thank you
Awh…shucks…don’t butter me up. Sheesh. You will make me want to go back out in this heat, and that is a no-no.
What a classic image
Thanks. I only posted this because it was suggested to me. Otherwise, nah…..
Looks good. Out of curiosity what time did you catch it? 2:30 – 3:00ish?
Thanks. I believe it was 1450, so you are right.
Nice catch.
Maybe one day, when I get a proper camera, you can mentor me? Great catch…and semi-current to boot. Keep the Historical photos coming too!
I’m no whiz at all with digital, Brad. But it would be nice in warmer spring weather our paths would cross and we can gab….about anything.
I used to shoot with my Dad’s old Agfa, the shots are mostly blurry, then I got a Nikon film for school, unfortunately the latter I was on ‘hiatus’ from the hobby. But yes..looking forward to it. We can gab about “anything”?
With idea most of us gab between trains, the way it is these days we could probably talk of life from day of conception to present before there is even a disturbance on the scanner. I bought a “new” camera in December and I haven’t even seen a decent day of trains to shoot a roll of film off on, yet.
I’m normally lucky to catch CP 246 and 103 during my walk here in Toronto..actually not so if i’m in a hurry as 246 crawls into Lambton and 103 is 2 miles long. But ever since ‘expecting’ a catch like yours, I haven’t seen a single train barring the Lambton switcher!
