With a nice black cloud overtop of gp9rm 1620 which is almost a guarantee that she just gave a fine smoke show, the daily OSR Guelph switcher has just returned from their day’s work and is backing a string of hoppers down towards another set of freight cars on the Guelph Junction yard siding/passing track as these hoppers are to soon be picked up by a CP local, CP T69 later in the evening. Photo was taken from First Line Nassagaweya Road and this is the OSR job I believe which will be taken over by the GEXR by summers end.

  1. I think your smoke plume was from 505, if a GP9 is smoking like that I would be seriously concerned…an ALCO, no biggy

  2. Nice shot Graydon, was good meeting you that day! I enjoyed shooting that set since, if you framed it head on, it looked like the smoke was coming the GP9. Everytime I’ve shown somebody that shot they have the concerns you mention Joe haha. Small thing that amuses me.

  3. Is G&W rolling with the GEXR handle for the Guelph Junction jobs?

  4. Thanks for the comments guys and hehe interesting about the smoke show, guess I didn’t know who it was 100% coming from since I was too busy with my camera when it was happening lol. Nice meeting you too Peter as well as the other few I came across this day and Brad, GEXR is a G&W company so I’m prettty sure those will be the Colours on the locomotives working this job! Wonder if 4095 will even be repainted? That’ll probably be the only non G&W unit seen here on GEXR

  5. Oops I meant to say nice meeting you too Mark, guess I got you and your brothers names just a little mixed up there but it was great meeting you both!!
