It was unusual to see a train so long that it had to pull up almost alongside the Niagara Falls VIA station in an attempt to set off cars in the CN yard. The train, out of Fort Erie, consisted of CN 5644, 5931(GT) plus new Dash-9s, 2575, 2574, 2577, 2579 and 2578 as part of an 11,500 ft train; one of the longest in Niagara we had heard of around this time. This involved a lot of running around to get the pictures.:o)
Amtrak #288 as train #98 happened to be at the station as well. This helped with the photo time and location.
