Caption: The iconic water tower of the former GMDD plant in London still stands as 1408 returns home to where it was built in 1960. It's always good to be home, if only for a brief moment. The former GMDD facility is now split between HCL Logistics and General Dynamics and 568 had a single car for HCL from the ONR. Funny, I've shot a gaggle of locomotives inside this facility, but never did shoot a train going in or out of it, this is my first.

Pretty amazing to get this shot 60 years after the Locomotive build date, how many more chances will get like this…
Thank you, not many, that’s why I had to do it.
Nice catch, Stephen. Well done.
Thank you Sir.
Cool shot!!!……not quite as boring as all these CMQ units!
Ahahahah!!
There it is! Glad you were able to get this that day Steve. I would have chased further west too if I could have.
The beginning of my Vacation! Not a bad start to it really.
Can you post those pics?
What pics? I already posted 2 emd photos 8 years ago, search google for them.
Ie: emd london stephen site:railpictures.ca
I meant in the plant Mr. Host. If you can. No rush to do it. Unless the pics are on here
Yes, that is what I mean. Try my google search. It narrows the search down to just this site.
I’m only just seeing this now. Excellent shot!
Thanks Mason, – keep digging in the archives. There’s gold in there. Don’t be stingy with the gold stars, lots of folks deserve it!
