Caption: Two Allied Chemical Alco S4 switchers are shown at the Essex Terminal Railway's shops in Windsor in April 1987, by ETR's own C420 106. Shown are: Allied Chemical 5A (nee B&O 9001) and 3A (nee B&O 9113).
Rosters list these formerly at Allied's Solvay NY plant, and stored on the ETR in 1987/1988 before being put into service at Allied's plant in Amherstburg, Ontario (that became General Chemicals). 3A would be kept for parts, while 5A would become B12 and put into service.
