Toward the end of their ‘tenure’ Expressway trains were seeing just about any power combos.One week they tried 2 GP-40s & the train couldn’t get up to track speed most of the time. When they reduced service to 1 train daily, it was too long to clear the crossing circuit at Roblindale, so it was sometimes necessary to hold back until the meet arrived to avoid blocking the crossing excessively.
