After the arrival of GO's MP40s, several of the F59PHs were rebuilt. These units have been used on the opposite ends of trains in consists classified as L10L, initially for better performance over fallen leaves, but the practice has continued. The first two trains to and from Barrie have traditionally been L10L consists, with F59PHs usually bringing up both ends of the train.
