Chetwynd to Fort St John train 575 has just about crossed the Peace River bridge into Taylor BC. This train was/is a regular assignment out of Chetwynd that had a call time window beginning at 18:00. Sometimes, when they were called at 18:00 on the dot and the train was ready to go they would make it to Taylor in daylight. Such must have been the case on this day as the time is 21:28 and Chetwynd is 55 miles behind them.

  1. What a scene. Rail photography must be an exciting adventure out your way. In Sou Ontario, the adventure is fighting road traffic.

  2. And multitudes of photographers

  3. I’m glad you guys like it, but it comes with the caveat that the only train of the day comes in the final vestiges of daylight. Where as you guys can at least be guaranteed a few VIAs in daylight.
