A contrast in railways - GEXR ran lean, minimal units on most locals, minimal track maintenance. Compare the above photo to This GEXR springtime scene 5 years ago. With 4 units assigned to L540 it's as if CN says 'hold my beer' in the horsepower department. A lovely springtime garden railway scene right through peoples backyards along Crimea St in Guelph. Almost timeless, it's interesting to have CN to photograph after 20 years of the GEXR.

  1. Beautiful spring scene, thats for sure.

  2. Tx sir.

  3. Very cool. And you can tell in the GEXR photo that it must have been better spring weather that year as there is more greenery coming to life.
