Nicely done. Was this before or after Railmark took over?
I still can’t believe CN gave it to Railmark – may as well hand the operations to the Boy Scouts given their qualifications, but CN knew this and did it on purpose to watch it die.
Unreal it was allowed to proceed in that manner.
This was still under CN operation although it was very close to the end. There were only about 3 CN trips remaining.
What a great shot ! The full moon, the diesel fuel truck, the ACR plus the ONR, the early morning light with lots of snow all over the ground, creates a very “Northern Ontario winter” picture, that is now history. I can just feel the cold going through you, and hoped you warmed up quickly on the train. My first visit to the ACR was also in the winter, riding south from Oba. And know this scenic passenger train north of Adawa Canyon is gone. What a stupid loss ! This is one of the very few pictures I have seen of the ACR taken in Hearst. Thank you for this picture
Is this the Agawa Canyon tour train? If so it appears it *was* still running not now of course of COVID-19. http://www.agawatrain.com/
This was the passenger train and not the tour train. The tour train only goes as far as Canyon at about mile 114.
Gotcha. Thank you David.
