Once VIA Rail announced suspension of the Canadian and Ocean until November 2020, some interesting equipment moves started happening.  Evidently to place HEP cars in locations for overhaul, some have been moved to Toronto, while others are being moved west.  Mothers Day was when the first westbound equipment move took place.  Identified as VIA 11, two 6400's power the 10 car mixed consist past MP 39 of the Bala Sub, just north of Pine Orchard.

  1. Who tipped you off Steve ? Would have loved to get out and photograph this movement. Very nice picture , and even nicer to see Canadian equipment on the move. As an old guy, I really miss my little adventures to Langstaff, Gormley and Old Cummer to watch VIA #1 or 2 roll by. Interesting train number assigned to this move. Thanks for sharing.
