Caption: Up early!!! I made a point of it because only at the longest days of the year could I see in daylight all of the GO commuters as they filed out of the Guelph Jct holding area for the daily run with passengers from Milton to Toronto. I left the house around 0415 to arrive at the Jct approximately 0530. I have not the time recorded for this image but I would guess about 0550. This is the second of 5 out; the first one with GO 528 had just departed and I was not able to get quite enough light for a good photo. Remember, this is back in the film days. So here is the second, 548 the power, and the others are 530, 539 and 541. I believe the west end of these were all cab cars, but have forgotten. :o)
This facility was moved out and east to Milton early 2007.

Nice! I wonder when they stopped storing GO trains here after hours. I recall even in 2005 they still did.
If I had to guess, they probably leased this yard but Milton they own.
Property was leased from Guelph Junction Railway vis a vis cp.
When GO left all track and structures had to remain they only removed the electrical hookups.
This is great and amazing how it remained largely untouched until 2007.
The reason for moving was mainly to allow 12 car trains as this yard had a limit.
