Caption: CP TE11, with CP 3045 and CP 2263, has just summited the grade out of the Welland Canal Tunnel Cut, and is making its way back to CP’s Welland Yard. In tow is traffic picked up from CN at Southern Yard, with tanks for Chemtrade in Niagara Falls, tanks for Innophos in Port Maitland, and a hopper for Washington Mills in Niagara Falls.
The bridges in the background are Highway 58 and Canal Bank Street, and the siding at right is CP’s Rusholme Siding (formerly Brookfield). Aside from leaving just enough space to allow headroom for CP and CN to access Trillium’s Cayuga Spur to get into Feeder for interchange with Trillium, this 20,000+ foot siding is largely jammed with racks in storage. Welland Yard and the Stevensville Spur also have a considerable amount of racks stored presently as well.
