This doesn’t seem correct to me. The only reason there could be NYC power beyond Hamilton is if the CPR engines for one of the passenger trains had broken down.
But given these 2 are freight-only GP9′s, even that scenario seems precarious.
IF this indeed is Port Credit, it has to be a One-time Only event and therefore a cherished image. But a little more detail would be great.
mercer, I have seen numerous shot of NYC power beyond Hamilton..even in later year on the starlight and the re-incarnation of the starlight for PC and CR.
It was most likely TH&B crews engineering this train.
If you have seen ” numerous ” shots of NYC power beyond Hamilton, could you point us to the source please ? (( and I mean prior to April 1966 )).
I’m pretty sure TH&B crews weren’t qualified on the Oakville Sub., only CPR.
