This is a shot I took back around mid March at Mimico GO Station. Mimico GO is located at Mile 6.7 of the CN Oakville Subdivision. This is a interesting spot due to the fact that there are two train yards. On the North side you have GO's Willowbrook Facility and on the South Side you Have TMC (Toronto Maintenance Center) Owned by VIA Rail. When I found out that the Express Niagara Falls Train was being lead by an F59 I immediately sprung out of bed and got trackside. Hope you enjoy, Stay Safe!

  1. @Jacob. Great shot! Actually you can find most of the 4 F59′s in everyday service on the Barrie and Stoufville lines. 561 just went by me here at work.
The two different yards that you see were actually one massive yard in the steam days. If you want to see how much it has changed, then Google CN’s Mimico yard 1950′s. They are some great pics of Mimico. This was CN’s main yard before the built Mac Yard in the 60′s
