Caption: I don't have any records of the train ID; however, a check of the October 25, 1964 public timetable suggests that this is train No. 77 a daily except Sunday schedule between Toronto and London with 14 stops. Like No. 18--which also made its last run on December 31, 1964--this train was a "milk run" express-handling train--note the 7 head end cars and a single coach. Interestingly, the train departed Toronto first but was "scooped" by Toronto-Windsor train No. 29 while making its Hamilton station stop (departing at 9:33 AM). No. 77 did not have a scheduled stop at Dundas; passengers were accommodated on No. 29. Power is an FPA-4/CPA-16-5 combo!

Beautiful pic. Dundas was what we used to call a “flag stop”. When I was a conductor we used to stop there if the engineers told us there was someone at the station waiting to board.
Aside from the Alco PA’s, they FPA4′s were the most beautiful passenger locomotives ever in my opinion.
Beauty in design, architecture, and nature.
