After working the elevator in Courtland for more then likely the final time, OSR's weekly Cayuga job throttles up after flagging the previous crossing due to the age and reliability of the equipment on the line. I had originally intended to do a crossing shot looking down the road. With a very abrupt snow squall dropping gigantic snowflakes I quickly adjusted my position. With the snowflakes blowing in from the North and the sun scooting out from behind the clouds a few minutes before the train showed up, it provided this opportunity for a photo with snow and sun.

  1. Excellent shot Mitchell! Unique weather conditions for sure.

  2. Thanks Kevin!

  3. Mitchell, what a great picture ! Sun, snow and a F ! This is an “A” Shot , not just a shot of a F ! And for sure historic. Very nice to see the OSR 1400 heading up the Courtland job. Thank you for “chasing” and posting.

  4. Great timing and photo Mitchell.

  5. There will definitely be a ‘clipper’ two days from now ( 23rd ) and they will get cars out of Johnsons and Future, plus any/all stored cars.
As for the final OSR day, 30th, it will be determined after this week, as to whether or not something else needs retrieving.
