With the possible abandonment, CN's Cayuga sub has gotten a bunch of fame over the past 2 weeks. Operated by OSR once a week, railfans flocked from all over Southwestern Ontario this past thursday to capture what could very well be one of the last trains to traverse the line. With the St. Thomas job being combined with this job that day we were treated to a pair of higher horsepower units, instead of the nose to nose ex. CP pups. Here we see the train crossing Big Otter creek on one of the impressive trestles which are along this line.

  3. Very nice view of trestle and train, and agree, very nice to see a GP and F unit on this surviving section (not for very long ?) of the old Airline. Reminiscent of the days Wabash F’s & GP rolled across this same trestle. Thank you Mitchell, nicely done !

  4. Very nice, what drone were you using?

  5. railwayguy: It sure was a treat to see! Thanks!

Craig: Thanks as well! Its a DJI Phantom 3 standard. Got some age to it but it still does the trick!
