Interesting. Do you know the route of this train – where it originated from and where it was destined to? Since it’s an even numbered symbol, the route must have been west to east (it was westbound at Paris).
I’m not entirely sure the origin but it did come across the ONR from Quebec.
Nice shot Joe! I believe this was a detour from the Sprague/Fort Frances sub due to a derailment that CN had in Emo, ON at the time. It would normally have gone in to the US at Ranier, MN but instead came across CN’s NOZ. No crude oil trains came over the ONR that I’m aware of.
Beauty! Thanks Davis, now that I think about it I seem to recall mostly intermodal and some mixed freights. I totally forgot about the Emo derailment.
