With the addition of more trains on the "Kitchener Line" (GO Terms) the last morning train was (and may still be) led by a F59 on a 6 car train. This train pings back and forth on off peak hours, with mid-day runs i'm told have plenty of people getting on and off. All the recent changes to GO service to the Guelph subdivision have resulted in ridership up 40% according to GO statistics. To the left is L542 sitting at the furthest extend of what (was) the Guelph siding. If anyone knows GO train symbols, please chime in. The GO schedule 31 does not co-relate trip numbers to actual trains.

Also congrats to GO folks who have begun dispatching out of GO control centre. (Not yet the Guelph sub tho). You know who you are!

  1. Indeed still typically an F59. They’re used on the last morning eastbound, the mid day turn, and the final trip west (ending at Guelph; deadhead to Kitchener).

  2. Nice shot! On the GO website, if you navigate to the full schedules menu you can access .pdf files that include the new 4-digit train symbols:

Looks like you train was 3906!

  3. Thank you Sir.

  4. 3906 was a mp40 today. A dirty one too. !!
