Interesting history caption. I’m trying to recall this line because I was really young when it was abandoned. Was the North Jct near Gage and Belmont? – Grade separation where the CP line went under the CN main. You can still see the bridge today I think.
I checked Google Earth and it split at Victoria Park, crossed West Ave/Victoria St. behind the bowling alley then up to the north main. I’m not sure the routing between Union St. and Caroline St. but I think it joined the Waterloo Spur at Erb and Caroline (where the present-day LRT NB and SB lines meet).
Street running inside caroline st from Erb to Allen.

Two beaver GP38-2′s in 2019 is pretty crazy. In fifteen years of shooting CP I don’t believe I’ve ever shot one.
@ Kevin Flood – the North Jct was at Mill St, the north Mill St crossing, the old Jct is very clear and evident
Nice write-up and photo Steve. It’s hard to believe it’s been 23 years since they introduced that scheme.
