A great photo from Ron Tuff. Ron has this labelled "Montrose Job" which has me wondering if this was the joint CP-TH&B-PC symbol FT-1 TF-2. The train, in my opinion appears to be travelling west and Ron notes it at Summit. In the older TH&B time table I have there is no Summit on the Welland sub and I'm wondering if it is at or near Vinemount which I recall was the top of the grade. All in all, it is a great scene from long ago. Thanks Ron for the image.

  1. I’m no expert in the area, but having lived in Grassie, I think this is somewhere between Vinemount and Grassie on that long diagonal stretch.

    A great shot regardless.
