Caption: Wandered out this morning as I was told Don and Les Morgan, VIA employees, would be on their last run today.
Well, this would not go unnoticed, so hoped there would be a nice banner on the engine, and there was. Here it is just coming onto the Oakville sub off the Dundas. Trying to like digital, but after this shot the camera quit on me. So this is it. Best I could do.
Have a great retirement, Gentlemen.
It is a fabulous life. :o)

Great picture Mr. Mooney – looks like you have mastered digital camera picture taking ! And good that you recorded their last run. Agree, hope the Morgan Brothers have a great eretirement !
Mine was at age 80 and is most enjoyable !
Age 80???!!! Congrats!!! Unreal. I just hope I live that long.:o)
That’s why I enjoy your pictures so much, many going back for decades, with scenes so very familiar to me.
Thank you, and yes, not only will you get to 80, but I bet you will still be taking great pictures !
Geez. So kind. Thank you too!!!!! Brightens up a gloomy morning.
There is hope. I have a friend who is 84 and all he wants to do is drive all over the country. Or ride it.
Hey AW. Great shot! Thanks for capturing Don and Les Morgan’s last run. I know both of them well, great guys. Actually Les and I sent to Gimli together for our locomotive training in 1987 and graduated together.
When the choice had to be made to go to VIA or stay at CN, our paths went in different directions, but my friendships with both Don and Les continues this day. Thanks for the photographic recording of a once in a lifetime career. Well done.
Thank you sir. Outside of Les and Don, it was ngineered 4 u.
