A couple of old workhorses idle away at London East, sitting next to Zubick's scrap yard. In the background, the BMO Centre provides a familiar site for those familiar with railfanning around London. This was shot in the early evening hours, and once 435 yarded their train, 583 was not far behind it. When 583 made their set off, their power was tied onto the two GMD-1s for the evening's 584 to St. Thomas and back. The full complement of 584 power for this evening was GMTX 2695, CN 4774, CN 1444, and CN 1412.

  1. Thats really cool James, neat seeing the city lights light up theses old beauties. Are those LED’s in the number boards and side lights? If so, seems a bit ironic. Modern electronics in an engine built when steam locomotives were still somewhat mainstream haha.

  2. Hi Mark, not LED’s. They still have the old fashioned light bulbs.

  3. That’s excellent Jamie.
