Caption: Stumbled on a clue a few days ago which lead to the note I wrote down for this train in 1985. The previous day, these units headed out as 836 with jet fuel tanks for the air base at Cold Lake. This photo shows it returning to Edmonton as an extra with empty tanks for the IOL refinery and loads of grain. The trailing units are the 4285 and 4316. Passing through town at lunch hour, we find the section guys stopped in and going about whatever business. The speeder will shortly be back on the rails, taking the gang to their afternoon work. The 4610 will be rebuilt into the 7221, which appears to have left the roster 4 or 5 years ago. There is a sad picture of the 7221's empty long hood on a flat car at the CNR photos website, dated Feb. 2015.

So nice to see pictures featuring these old paint jobs. It has been awhile since they have left the scene.
