Caption: BCR 762, 758 and 757, three SD40-2's, are stopped in front of the Lillooet Station before they proceed north to Prince George. The trains ran very slowly through this region, and always with a track patrol, either a pickup or a speeder, watching for rock slides as they led them through the most treacherous parts of the terrain. I believe, from what I've read, that since CN's takeover in 2003, the track patrols were gradually replaced with barriers and slide fences. It was also in that year that what was once a world class railway experience, disappeared forever.
