On a very overcast February afternoon, CP RS-10 8470 and RS-18 8732 have their work cut out for them as they pull an over tonnage train west on the Cartier Sub in downtown Sudbury, Ontario. Out of sight is S-2 7090 shoving hard on the caboose to help keep the train moving. The crane on the flat car beside the locomotives looks like it has had a pretty rough life.

  1. Gads, what a miserable day picture. But I sure like it.

  2. That Dominion crawler crane CP C-513 is a beauty! Seems to be missing a little sheet metal! Nice black & white wooden gate arms.

  3. I like that view. The US&S “tear drop” bell and the hanging lantern style tip light on the crossing gate are sought after memorabilia today, but were standard crossing hardware in 1970.
