A fine and sunny afternoon in July finds CP ac4400CW 8117 leading a decent sized train 420 manifest through the major city of Toronto as they make their way westward out of the CPR yard and towards the Galt Sub and eventually the USA. Train is about to cross the Bartlett ave downtown crossing and the factory-like building which they are going right by on the left is none other than a typical downtown restaurant/bar, but with the rather unique name known as ‘Blood Brothers Brewing’! I gotta check that place out sometime!! Hopefully will remember to do so on my next visit to the North Toronto Sub! Timing is 14:51

  1. *correction*: ‘this train was actually 421 and it was going northbound up the MacTier and then across Canada to Winnipeg, NOT towards the Galt.
420 South is its counterpart and it comes down the Mactier while nearing its final destination to Toronto yard from Winnipeg.

  2. I’m moving June 1 right down the street Graydon! Back to living near daytime freight action.
