They both look white to me. However, the one on the port side is in shadow so that might be why you think it is green.
Both flags have to be the same on the lead. I think they are both white but its the shadow. In the old days when a train (freight and passenger) was was in a siding and waiting to be passed by a superior train. Its marker should display 1 green and 1 red marker . Depending on what track the other train was passing on, the red marker was always to the side with no track and green to the side where the superior train passed.
It most certainly was a wedding party.
I know the person whose wedding it was for, they were UCRS members.
