A couple of items I wanted to note through posting this shot. First, I believe the bulk of the business from Parkland Terminals in Hamilton has gone over to CN from CP. I have seen CN go here a few times now, and they start by leaving Stuart and take the Grimsby Sub all the way to Parkdale Yard. They then come up the Gages Spur and head westward toward Kenilworth Ave (usually crossing over it and Beach Road) to clear a switch, and then shove back and up across Burlington Street and Hobson Road to work Parkland. In this shot, they have just crossed Burlington. The second thing to note is that CN has been busy trimming back weeds and trees and shrubs on a lot of the industrial trackage in Hamilton, as you can see in this shot. I had shot 4762 with 7016 a few days prior, and in that shot I noted that a GMTX unit had been added to the fold. In this shot you can just make out a bit of blue through the window of 7016.

  1. Nice! Seems like this power set will be in Kitchener next haha. The 4762 is looking rough around the edges.

  2. I just love it when they have been cleaning out the weeds and trees. You’re usually good for a few months afterwards. :-)

  3. 4762 went to Alderhsot on 555 this morning and is headed for Mac – keep an eye out for it in Kitchener, Kevin. ;)
