The coloured box cars make for a nice train too. They look like car parts boxes. Containers would seem a natural for most of that with the larger stuff going in a box possibly?
Mr Host – did you have permission to be on my turf? I don’t see any faxed-in documentation.
Larry, they are indeed auto parts. From Buffalo Stamping plant to Oakville Assembly.
A regular feature of CN 422.
Snake I drove myself.
Nice shot, Steve. 1005 led X384 on June 23, 2018. Lighting less than ideal by the time it got around here.
Somewhat odd.. On November 25, 2017 I came across 1027 just idling all by itself in Stuart. Never did understand or figure out why and have never since a six axle just hanging out there like that since. Didn’t have a camera back then, though. Just a cell grab.
Larry, those cars are the best part of 421 and 422. Very few trains on the Grimsby Sub, but at least there is something somewhat unique on two of them.
Sorry, date should read June 17, 2018.
This was the last one, July 2018:

Jamie,
1027 had trailed on a 314 on the 25th (blade loads to some place in NY) I seem to recall low fuel being the reason for getting set off at Stuart
Well, nice to close the book on that one. Thanks James
If anyone has “homestead rights” on this territory, it’s the senior men like Mercer, Mooney, and myself (more than 45 years and I have the slides to prove it!). As far as I’m concerned, that Host guy is okay and he can visit any time he wants.
Thanks Steve and Jamie.
LOL John!
