Caption: There are two companies at the "mill" in Shakespeare. SMI and Quality Fertilizers. I never did shoot GEXR showing the Quality Fertilizer side of Shakespeare - The fertilizer place is the covered wooden elevator as you (see here ) but when 568 stopped to work Quality back in January I along with a couple others gladly stopped for a shot.
CN's return to the Guelph sub has been really good for photographers, we had tonnes of new old power of all types in the first few months, and continues to have some photogenic motive power today, but it hasn't been that great for the customers. Four have already switched from CN, including: Hunts in Cambridge (no more long trains down the Fergus!) which switched to CP in London, Quality in Shakespeare (to GEXR), Stella-Jones (Guelph Utility Pole) to OSR/GJR and one much lesser known customer. It's unknown if they may decide to switch back, as anything in the multi-year vision of a business customers tend to see-saw between carriers and it could come back, if the service is still available. This hobby is also a multi-year (decade) vision for many and I'll continue to capture CN photos locally - this hobby of ours still has plenty to offer and I still have much catching up to do to get more of my favourite GEXR shots in the "new' CN era. Many have done it decades before me :)

Timely post.. I was honestly thinking about Shakespeare just a few hours ago. So GEXR is allowed to go east out of Stratford? I had just kind of assumed the yard was their limits.
No. Customer will move to gexr territory apparently.
Interesting door on the building.
The 1439 red looks very smart with the two blues behind.
Hunts still gets quite a bit of cars fyi. Not a total loss.
