Caption: I was out on Thursday chasing the OSR run down the Cayuga Sub to Tillsonburg (via Ingersoll and St. Thomas) when I noticed this shot. Of course, I was in my car driving and the train was already here, making a shot at the time impossible. Having realized what I missed, I set out today for the St. Thomas job. They were ordered earlier than usual (0730) as they were dropping three ballast loads along the St. Thomas Sub on their way into town. After they worked Ingersoll (the yard and the siding at Thomas Road) and Putnam (propane only), I got out well ahead of them and waited here, not wanting to chance a thing. As I waited, I watched the clouds roll across the sun, casting shadows over the field and tracks. At this point, this was the only variable I truly needed to be concerned with, and fortunately, things timed right. This was all I wanted out of the day, and I quit while I was ahead.
