Ontario Northland FP7 1515 leads a CN GP9 (45xx) and and ore empties from the Oakville sub onto the Halton on a dull day in August 1967. An ON locomotive pooled with CN power was a bit unusual in the mid-1960s but did occur on a regular basis.

  1. I have to disagree with ” an ON locomotive pooled with CN power was a bit unusual…”.
    It happened a lot.
On the Dane ore trains (448/449/450/451)it was nearly a regular occurrence. On other trains it was ‘anything goes’.
This is train 450 with the Dane ore empties and the GP9 is 4519. The date is July 14/67.
Earlier that morning, 449 took the Dane loads to Fort Erie with the 1515-4519-3864.
