The scenery was fantastic, the train trips were long and this late evening image is no exception, "it'll be an all niter".

Wonder how, with no catenary, GMD tested out the GF6C’s over in London?
Interesting question about testing the units. I really don’t know if or much testing could be done at the GMDL plant in London. I suppose some type of “load box” testing might have been possible. I do know that there were a lot of GMDL technicians riding with the units while in initial stages of operation on BC Rail as well as technicians from the company that made the high voltage heavy electrical equipment.
