Caption: Well, a scan of an "Instamatic" print from way back when, most likely summer of 1968. A Canada Cut & Crushed Stone train along the line approaching the Brow dump facility on the escarpment overlooking Dundas. These were pretty unique trains operating on a rather obscure rail line. The railway hauled large rock from the quarry pit near Highway 5 to a primary crusher. I don't know mileage wise how track there was, perhaps 3 or 5 miles if that the electric trains operated on. Portion of the railway was double tracked and most likely spring switches at each end that enabled opposing trains to pass each other. "The Quarry" was a dangerous place and my parents were quite firm that I was not to go there.
